We are alive

I have been so awful about blogging. I guess life has been pretty crazy at our house the last thing I have been thinking about is writing it down.
Let's see...Tre and Eliza both had surgery yesterday. (March 5th) Tre had to get his tonsils and adnoids out. Eliza needed tubes in both ears. We left our house at about 5:45 in the morning. The worst part was that they couldn't eat anything after midnight. Eliza was scheduled for surgery at 6:30. Tre was scheduled at 8:30, but they took them both at 6:30. They took good care of us at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, they even let them share a room. Eliza come back really sad, infact I could hear her coming down the hall. There is something about just knowing your baby's cry. She cried for about 20 mins and finally stopped when we gave her a bottle. We had to wait a little before they took Tre but he was being so good. He didn't have a clue what he was in for. He kept saying "is it my turn yet?" Finally at about 9:45, they came to get him. He was all excited to get pushed away in the hospital bed, infact he was just yacking the ears off the poor nurse. He came back about 10:30, not as excited as when he left. He still had an IV in and was really groggy. He slept for about an hour and when he woke up he just wanted some apple juice. They told him that he could go home once he drank the whole cup. 30 minutes later we were on our way home.
I think that Jared and I expected the worst but Tre is doing pretty good. He just sits on the couch and is playing with his toys. We are trying to keep fluids in him but he told us that he just wants some chicken! We were told that they usually get worse in 3 days, then start to get better. We will have to see what the next few days hold. Eliza is doing great! The doctor said that she had alot of gluey, paste behind her ears and that she will definatley feel better. Thanks to everybody that has come to see my kids. They get really excited to see new faces!

we've got parallel lives! Abby got her tonsils/adnoids out and tubes back in on the 18th she did great the first 2 days but was pretty bad there for awhile. She's finally eating normally and back to normal (just to give you an idea of what might lay in store, ice cream even lost it's glitter!) Sophie just had her tubes redone on Tuesday no problems with her - tubes really have no discomfort! Crazy kids! Hope all goes well!
